My focus will be on understanding how individuals and families from diverse backgrounds navigate the complexities of their new lives in America. I will investigate how they cultivate their identities, forge connections, and contribute to local culture, while facing the myriad challenges of living in a foreign land. Through photographing the built environments, stores, churches, community events, and meeting one-on-one with families, I aim to highlight the struggles they endure and the triumphs they achieve, painting a vivid picture of resilience, hope, and the ongoing journey toward realizing the American Dream.
